Sunrise Accute Care Configuration 1 v5.0

This course begins with an introduction to the basic configuration of an Acute Care database using Configuration Tools. Participants will learn how to set up the enterprise structure, including the configuration of facilities, organizational units, services, locations, and workstations.

The configuration of security and system access is covered. Both system-supplied and enterprise-defined security rights are detailed, along with security groups. This course also focuses on setting up users and care providers in the database.

Participants are introduced to end-user use of and configuration of clinical data and views such as allergens, results, health issues, comments, significant events, and the Clinical Summary tab are also covered. End user use of and configuration of patient lists is fully addressed, in addition to patient header line creation. Visit information configuration, including visit types, care levels, and chart groups, is also discussed.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

Initiate analysis and configuration for ADT and patient information
Initiate analysis and configuration to defining the organization (i.e., facilities, locations, workstations, and printers)
Initiate analysis and configuration for providers and users
Initiate analysis and configuration for patient and functional security
Use the Express Load and Express Unload tools for configuration data entry
Use Configuration Tools for configuration data entry

XA Medical Logic Modules v5.0

This course presents an in-depth look at the rule-based Medical Logic Modules (MLMs) used in the SunriseXA’s Clinical Decision Support system. Students learn how to write basic MLMs in the Arden Syntax programming language. In addition, students learn about knowledge engineering and the responsibilities that come with that role.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

·Explain Clinical Decision Support
·Handle knowledge engineering issues
·Write basic MLMs using Arden Syntax
·Write MLMs that can send an alert via e-mail or pager
·Write time-delayed MLMs
·Debug problem MLMs

ObjectsPlus/XA v5.0 – Training scheduled for October 09

This course shows by example, as well as through hands-on activities, how to create custom dlls to run in Sunrise Acute Care , and how those dlls can share context with Sunrise Acute Care and leverage the existing business objects provided by Sunrise Acute Care 5.0 XA.

The course also discusses how to configure Sunrise Enterprise 5.0 to support your custom tabs and custom applications.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

-Explain where custom dlls can run in Sunrise Acute Care
-Describe the current functionality of ObjectsPlus/XA and how it can be used in custom dlls
-Create a custom tab in either C# or VB.NET
-Create a custom Tools application in either C# or VB.NET
-Create a custom forms application in either C# or VB.NET
-Explain the eventing model provided to the custom tab
-Configure the Sunrise Acute Care environment to host custom tabs and custom applications
